Abstract

The Draft Act Amending the Criminal Code (No. ...), B.E. ...., proposed by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul and colleagues together with Ms. Pukkamon Nunarnan and colleagues, seeks to revise provisions relating to sexual offenses with the objective of aligning the law with the
increasingly complex and diverse manifestations of sexual crimes. The principal substantive amendments concern the redefinition of the
term “rape” and the introduction of a statutory definition of “sexual harassment.” This paper examines the substance of these amendments
and considers their potential legal implications in the event that the draft is enacted into law.
